Testing and control of the Unified Complex of Equipment for environmentally safe thermal disposal of liquid sewage (herein after referred to as Complex) took place On May 31 in the Experimental Plant of LLC TyumenNIIgiprogaz in the presence of the Client (LLC Gazprom dobycha Noyabrsk). Fuel gas and water simulating liquid sewage were fed into the Unit. Testing proved the Complex meets the requirements of the technical assignments of the Client to the extent of capacity and other characteristics.
The value of the invention is far beyond the oil and gas production and oil and gas industry as a whole but it aligns with the goals of the president Vladimir Putin within the Year of Ecology.
Million tons of heavily polluted liquid sewage is accumulated all over Russia. They are stored in polygons, in sludge reservoirs and are discharged in sewage systems. It causes severe pollution of surface and subsurface waters, air and soil.
In accordance with the Federal law FZ-219 dated 21.07.2014, RF Government Decree No. 2674-р dated 24.12.2014 and Order of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology No 1579 dated 15.12.2015 from January 1, 2020 capital construction facilities without processes with indicators higher than the best available technologies are not allowed to be commissioned.
It makes impossible use of the conventional flare units in the newly commissioned fields (and many other companies). High-temperature oxidizing method with use of the units of indoor burning is the most efficient and multi-purpose high-temperature method. Its usage helps ensuring almost hull destruction of organic harmful substances containing in the sewage with use of high (more than 1000 °С) temperatures.
This method has not only ecological but also economic advantages: gas consumption is reduces as burning takes place only in indoor spacing in the conditions of best fuel energy value usage. The units of indoor burning used before in Russia were served mainly for destruction of solid wastes or it was a set of small high-temperature heaters (Incinerators). Low capacity significantly deteriorated the economic indicators, first of all in terms of capital construction.
The designers of LLC TyumenNIIgiprogaz have chosen another way and decided to produce a complex of high capacity thermal sewage disposal units. There were no analogues and so a new technology has been developed.
Execution of an assignment was started in spring 2016. The complex has been developed with use of home-made components to meet the Gazprom policy of import substitution. All the equipment process lines have been manufactured by the Experimental Plant. Not only new technology but also some new apparatus have been manufactured. For example, double fuel burners of 5 MW have not been manufactured in Russia before. They have been developed by the assignment of the designers of LLC TyumenNIIgiprogaz specifically for the project.
It resulted in manufacturing of a Complex with peak load capacity of 1000 cubic meters of liquid sludge per day. This is sufficient for Chayandinskoe field even in the period of aggressive construction, wells workover and drilling with large scopes of drill cuttings.
This unit can also be of an interest for the fields commissioned prior and do not falling within the scope of the Federal Decree mentioned above. The capital construction costs for manufacturing and installation of the Complex in many cases will be paid back within some years due to reduction of operational expenses, namely reduction of the flaring gas scope. Similar calculations were performed for Chayandinskoe field and economic efficiency became the main argument for the invention of LLC TyumenNIIgiprogaz.
The Complex will be sent to the Chayandinskoe field in the near future.
